    As much as I applaud the fella for defending his property, the question remains, what would've happened if the perp decided to get up and run instead of waiting for the cops to show up?

    At that point, I doubt if he could legally shoot.

    From everything I've read on the subject, if he's running away and his back is toward you, he's no threat and you'd be in the wrong if you fired....

    I'm going to watch it again, and/or look for links to a police report, 'cuz something about that video smells like BS.  It's almost like they were scripted, and there just happened to be someone to catch it and record it.

    The fact that Live Leak offers very little facts to accompany this video made me skeptical of it. Who, where, when, charges pending? I'd like to know all those things.

    The guy has become a media sensation. Saw the story on at least 2 "news" broadcasts. It is happening more and more.
