NFL football pickem

Ok guys, I'm gauging the interest here to do a weekly NFL pickem challenge here thru Yahoo sports.
There are 16 weeks to the nfl season so there will be a winner each week, plus there will be a total wins for the entire season winner.
last year I did this thru another site. There were 10 players total
The antie was 50 cigars. So a total of 500 cigars in the pot. Each weekly winner received 20 sticks and the remaining 180 sticks went to the overall winner.

Anyone who wants to do something similar here please show your interest.

I'd be interested but 50 is a lot. Maybe if the weekly winner recieved 5 sticks and then the remaining to the overall winner at the end. Just designate a shipper each week to mail the 5 sticks and at the end each person sends an additional 5 to the overall winner

Last year all the antics had to be mailed ahead of time. They were split up equally then shipped out to each winner. Some people kicked in extra to help with shipping costs.
50 sounds like a lot but if you win 3 weeks your ahead.

Chuck I'm glad you stepped up and did this ..... We used to have something like this but it was done a little bit different .... Since its your game you would send x amount of sticks to the winner of week 1 then that person sends to the winner of week two.... I'd like to make it more interesting by keeping tabs on everyone's total correct pics for the season and at the end all participants would send a fiver or whatever to the overall winner at the end of the regular season. Obviously if I won week 1 I'd still pick week 2s games but would send to the highest correct pics that's not me...... If we did it as 10 sticks and exactly 10 sticks weekly and then all participants 10 at the end of the season I think that would work nicely and maybe get some people on board with this ..... But that's just me spitballing!

Last year on another forum it was done like thisQuick rundown on da rules and stuff.....

We had a 50 cigar ante last year... We will have weekly winners as well as an overall winner after week 17. The playoffs will be another game... Prizes will be determined by the number of players of course...

Weekly picks are straight up no spread... We'll use Yahoo's tiebreak system and picks are due 5 minutes before each game..

Ok, I'll change the format to something easier for more people to do.
We will still use Yahoo's format which gives a weekly winner with a tie breaker, and it accumulates the overall tally week 1 thru 17.
We will need 17 players for this to work.
each player will be assigned a week to send 10 cigars to the weekly winner. In addition the overall winner will get 5 sticks from everyone else at the end.
The total invested will be 10 plus 5=15.
