Got word that Allan @WaterNerd won't be able to make it.
Sorry to hear that Allan. Sometimes life just kinda gets in the way, doesn't it? I think I know the feeling.
Maybe next time, Pardner......1 -
Wish I could make it. I get off the boat the 19th but my daughter will be up for a few days then. I really miss her.3

Outstanding plan Marty, unfortunately that falls on my hell week where I work 6 out of 7 days. Only have 3 days of vacation so not in the cards this time but damn that sounds like funA little dirt never hurt0

That's one thing I like about my job, run like hell during the winter and slow down during the summer. In Fumo Pax

Sorry guys I'm out of this one. Picked up a new job that will require weekend work0
-
Well, Bummer! I figured with all your money you didn't need to work anymore....
we'll miss ya, Big Guy......0 -
I haven't really set a time - what time did you guys get here in October? You and @Wylaff have the longest drives so why don't I leave arrival and departure times to you guys? As long as you don't get here before noon---
As for what to bring, I thought we'd work that out once you're here. Probably takeout of some sort - pizza, whatever. It needs to be easy so it doesn't interfere with booze and cigars...
I'm open to suggestions......

Fermented barley tea. It'll fill you right up."Cooking isn't about struggling; It's about pleasure. It's like sǝx, with a wider variety of sauces."
At any given time the urge to sing "In The Jungle" is just a whim away... A whim away... A whim away...0 -

Chicken and salad doesn't sound bad. We can supplement that from our local supermarket, too. It's nearby....0

Anytime after noon, I think, and we can work out food details once we're all here. Gotta have a quorum, don'tcha know......0

Food!? You never said there'd be food! Looking for cheap flights now."I could've had a Mi Querida!" Nick Bardis1

Okay, regarding food. I'm planning to go with Chris' @Yakster suggestion of rotisserie chickens and salad. We can reheat the chickens on the grill, dress up the salad a bit, cut up a fresh baguette or two and call it good. I'm still open to suggestions.
Looking forward to seeing the returnees again and to meeting the newbies. It ought to be a good day - after all, the calendar says it's EATH DAY**!!0
