    Local news:

Fireworks Schedule for Upper Dauphin County

July 2 - Lykens (our town) and Wiconisco (neighboring town)

July 3 - Elizabethville (bigger town town the road) and Millersburg  (on tge Susquehanna)

July 4 - no fireworks scheduled

Wtf is wrong with this picture? We also have parades on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but never on weekends, and they're not typically announced. It's...different. Just the viewpoint of an ex Dull-awarian.
It's not "upper" but Hershey has the fireworks on the 4th!

They also have the "fire" in fireworks down pat...

Good to know! I'll have to give them a try next year. Almost said screw it and drove down to Hockessin, DE where we used to go every year, but I didn't feel like dodging the drunks.
Come on down. There's a dynamite gar store just across the border on 41. You been there?

    F U O

We have 2 new neighbors. One the nearest house to the south. The other the nearest house to the north. 3 nights of beautiful fireworks.
3 days of some of the loudest and most amazing and colorful fireworks I have seen in years.
I grabbed a chair, and for 3 days I rejoiced.
    What a glorious sight.

I have not as a matter of fact. Then again I haven't been back home in 2 years and I only started into cigars last year. I'm guessing you're in NCC? I lived in Dunlinden off Kirkwood Hwy.

Just round the corner from where I'm sittin. Up Limestone, hand a right at Total Wine. My office is in Stanton. We live in Newark. Heading up to Red Lion on Tuesday to visit with a guy who owned the last hand rolled cigar factory in PA. Hope to score a couple tuck cutters, molds, and so forth. Tomorrow, I may ride up thru Strasburg, looking for any Amish farm I can find growing CT Shade wrapper leaf.

Whereabouts are you? Close enough to herf? There's that cozy gar lounge on Rt 30 in Lancaster.

Holy cats, yeah definitely close enough to herf. I grew up in Newark, in Scotfield. I know Stanton very well too.

I'm down in Strasburg quite often doing photography at the railroad. Going to be out of town this week, but I may be free next weekend. Shoot me a PM brother. Us first staters gotta meet up!

What...? State of EMERGENCY....? What do they do when they run out of munchies...? Or beer...?

How about real emergencies, you know, like, well, a real emergency...?

I can just imagine the menus at the casinos, stage 1 or 2 or 3 munchie emergency.
Smokers buffet and snack vending machines in every room. Room service selling under the cart and off the books chips and ding dongs at 5 times the regular price.

Nevada is going to make so much money off of pot.
    Gummies anyone......

    You in Red Lion today?

I was at a garage sale two years ago, and they had a bunch of Red Lion cigar stuff.  Signs, stacks of unused bands, etc.  I didn't have enough cash on me, or I would have bought it up.  Instead I had to buy my kid something.

I like Oliva and Quesada (including Regius) a lot.  I will smoke anything, though.

Now I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a George Lopez fan. I just don't find him funny.

As this headline is a direct quote from fox news, I'll assume that's the article you took it from. Some serious journalism going on there, quoting the comment section from Brietbart not once but twice. That's where the world's great minds gather to offer their knowledge to the rest of the world.

Also you may be confused, Lopez was born in Los Angeles, California. He is literally where he came from. Where should he go? Is this why this is in the "you can't make this **** up" thread?

I see no way what you've said could be construed as racist. Right?

Mexico is not a race. So, no.

No one said anything about Mexico... did they? See inferred racism is just as real as explicit racism. There is no difference. Gotta call horseshit on that. Obviously Mexican is not a race, but opinion and reality often differ. Blatant racism never really seems to be based on reality. I have never had anyone tell me to "go back where I came from." Would you care to take a wild guess as to why?

I rarely check in here because I'm genuinely surprised a private company would allow such nonsense on their forum. I will call out horseshit when I see it though.

Someone says a man with brown skin should "go back where you came from" despite not doing their research and realizing that he is in fact "American" and born and raised in the United States. That is textbook racism. Spin it however you want. You can call a dog a cat, but it is still a dog.

Somehow I'm the bad guy? WTF is wrong with this picture?

I don't agree with Mr. "lopot's" statement. I think it's foolish and ignorant. However, he is a comedian, so the bar is set pretty low.

Allowing things like this to slide by unnoticed isn't a good look for the forum or for cigar.com. Do you stand idle when people say things like this without the anonymity of the internet? I don't. There is no place here or elsewhere for such divisive behavior period.

Disagree? Shut 'em up. Shoot the messenger. Invent an ism, shoehorn it to fit anywhere whether it belongs or not, prohibit, bully, shame, riot... do anything to shut 'em up. That's how the Left works. Isn't it? Do they disagree? Shut 'em up.

Now, here's the jaw dropping part: Claim you censor in the name of tolerance.

That there's the truth. Censorship in the name of Tolerance.

You can't make this stuff up.

It isn't about right or left. It's about being a decent human being; a point often missed these days.

No one is being censored. Nobody's rights are being violated here. What about that do you not understand? Clearly cigar.com doesn't care that this forum represents their company. They are the only one's that have a say in what goes on here. Who cares right? We'll try to keep competitor's offers off the forum out of respect, but hey racism is cool. Let 'er rip boys.

Mr. Lopez's remarks certainly seem to indicate a prejudice against police.

JD's remarks certainly seem to indicate assumptions about Mr. Lopez's country of origin.
