Heading to the area in December, anyone familiar with it? Where to stay? Neighboring communities better or worse? Any help appreciated.

Was there in 97 for tech school in the air force. Im sure its changed in the last 20 years"I drink a great deal. I sleep a little, and I smoke cigar after cigar. That is why I am in two-hundred-percent form."

Great town! Wend down there in 2011 to do some photography.
White House Hotel and Double Tree by Hilton are top notch.“Happiness? A good cigar, a good meal, a good cigar and a good woman – or a bad woman; it depends on how much happiness you can handle.” – George Burns0 -
Not much of a gambler just a trip. Have a race there and have heard it's not the nicest area.Vulchor said:Know it pretty well....,going to gamble I imagine? Would stick to beachfront areas and hotels are nice. Surrounding areas...Ehhh....0 -
I would still stick to a casino honestly. Beau Rivage, Holden Nugget, Hard Rock, Palace, IP....all would be fine. Same price as a Hilton type hotel with the pool, restaurants, bars, entertainment, valet parking, etc. Keepsyou near the water and away from the worse areas also2

The "Cigar Shop" at 2611 Pass Road is a great place to acquire stogies and a great place to smoke. Let them know you are visiting and they will welcome you with open arms! Great atmosphere, and camaraderie!I am a happy man. You have made me very grateful. For this is the very first time that the Crown Jewels have ever been adequately & deliriously praised by an unprejudiced person. Still it is the cigars' own fault that this is so for it is a cigar which excites envy & jealousy in the smoker because he knows & feels the truth of which you have said; that there is no other cigar that is just like it. There are cigars which resemble it but only in appearance, not in spirit & not in the ability to dare & do. There is no other cigar that can make a person want to go away & get by himself & think this life over & wonder if it is altogether worth while. I will send you some more when you get out. Let me know. Any man of fine intelligence who is acquainted with Crown Jewels prizes them above any other gems & saves them & hoards them. I gave Harry Rogers a box two years ago & he has them yet. Let me know when you are out.4

The Mrs is looking into it. She is thinking about ocean springs which is right across the river. Thoughts on that @Vulchor0

Ocean Springs reminds me of Manitou Springs, Colorado. Very eclectic, great eating, "The Shed" BBQ plus many others. Close enough to the beach.I am a happy man. You have made me very grateful. I interviewed for a job in Ocean Springs, once. Great softshell po' boys from a gas station there. I was told they're the best in town unless you buy 'em straight off the boat and make 'em yourself.
Every morning I was there, I walked to the beach. It's weird how the barrier island makes the surf almost nothing in Ocean Springs, but in Biloxi, the waves roll in much stronger.Intelligence is knowing that a tomato is a fruit; wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.
I like Oliva and Quesada (including Regius) a lot. I will smoke anything, though.1
