Just heard he was pulled off life support. The man put on an amazing show. He will be missed.

I saw them three times on that tour and you are correct. Tom played bass guitar on that song at times and he said at least once "Its time to get out the heavy artillery" as he switched guitars. He was having a blast.deadman said:1 -

TP was a touring machine in the years, he would play a community college campus or anywhere he could get a gig.
The audience participation he could elicit was incredible, not sure if this carried over into the later years, last I saw him was '79 in Seattle.
