Coolidor Set up

I have few questions that I'm pretty sure I can get some solid answers here ( as I have seen many conflicting answers on the net)
1) What is the general rule for seasoning a Coolidor
2) Does it need a electric fan? I feel like this might be a nice add on but not a necessity...

Coolers don't need to be seasoned, just clean and air out until it is odorless. Fans are not necessary, simply let the lid fall once in a while when you open it."We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give". Winston Churchill.
