In the last few years the wife and I have gotten back into going to live concerts. We have seen Theory of a Deadman, 10 Years, and Breaking Benjamin (three times). We have tickets for Shinedown, and Five Finger Death Punch/Breaking Benjamin in the near future. We were supposed to see Jonny Lang, but weren't able to make that one. Anyone else going/have been to recent, or past live performances?

In the last year we saw Foo Fighters, Chilli Peppers, and George Clinton. The wife saw Eve 6 and Garbage also, I sat those out.
Forgot about Muse and 30sec to MarsPost edited by deadman on4 -
Steve, didn’t know you were a Jonny Lang fan but that kid can play the guitar! Still think his debut Lie To Me album was the best but he’s had a few decent songs after that too. Can’t believe he did Lie To Me when he was 16, killer talent!
Havent been to a concert in a while but a year or so ago I saw Darius Rucker live and that was a great show, about half of it was his current stuff and the other half was classic Hootie and the Blowfish songs. Was fun to hear each."When walking in open territory bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask them to stop. If they do not stop, destroy them."2 -
Mostly country now days.
Last one was at the County Fair with Montgomery - Gentry, just before Troy Gentry was killed in a helicopter crash.
In my youth, I've been to Jan & Dean concert (you may have to look them up), Beach Boys, Eagles, Boston and The Who concerts.

I lost some hair to a motley crue pyro stunt. Haven't been to anything since. I've seen journey and Def leppard twice each, foreigner, rush, Boston, crue, sick puppies, and a whole passel of country artists big and small before I fell off the mainstream country. Now I live in a musical dead zone. There's no regular live music within a 3 hour drive. Sometimes the local dives will hire someone small to play but they are usually just one man cover bands1

60's and early 70's in the local hippie psychedelic dungeon (Boston Tea Party mostly). Last concert I went to was a double header with the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac (at Shaeffer Stadium with 50,000 others all holding up their bic lighters) Should have brought my binoculars. Oh, I did see Richie Havens a few years ago in Provincetown.9

Last live concert I attended was at the Alexandria Roller Rink in1969. Janis walked out, took a pull of Southern Comfort and burned the stage down. I was a Vietnam Jarhead from Quantico hanging with the Hippies. Lots of funny smelling smoke and a killer light show.5

I haven’t been to a concert in forever, but my favorites were Ozzy (3x), Pantera (twice),Rush, John fogerty.
I think the best was ZZ Top with Ted Nugent and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. That was one hell of a show3 -
The most recent concert I attended as a customer and not working was Chris Stapleton last November. It was a fantastic. He is easily my favorite artist right now."I drink a great deal. I sleep a little, and I smoke cigar after cigar. That is why I am in two-hundred-percent form."

Many country music concerts in the past. Hank Williams Jr. and Charlie Daniels really stood out, caught the Eagles on their "Hell Freezes Over" tour. Mellissa Etheridge opened for them, both were outstanding!Hey, you gonna eat the rest of that corndog?3

Last month I saw Beethovens 9th Symphony with my Son in the choir.
Think Die-hard when they opened the vault.

Grateful Dead 1980, oh recent, nevermind...
There were some in the late 70's so damn loud my ears are still ringing, my pops warned me about that.A little dirt never hurt4 -
The last concert I went to was Paul McCartney. The next one will be Foo Fighters (in May) and then it'll be a joint concert with Def Leppard and Journey (in July).4

Cody Jinks, Jamey Johnson, Steve Earle and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band were the most recent. Hopefully seeing Metallica later this year.4

First concert I ever went to was in a pub in Mentor Ohio, I was 17 and thought this is what concerts were like--there were about 15 of us in the bar. Jim Kweskin's Jug Band, playing washtub bass, scrub board, and gallon wine bottles. Still fondly remember it.

First concert I ever went to was Elton John in Philly. Seen Fleetwood Mac, Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, and The Decemberists since. Fleetwood Mac is talking about another tour this year. Wouldn't mind going.“Happiness? A good cigar, a good meal, a good cigar and a good woman – or a bad woman; it depends on how much happiness you can handle.” – George Burns3

I love going to concerts. Back in college I would attend at least one a month. Some notable shows I’ve been to are Breaking Benjamin(probably around 10 times), Tool, Metallica, Story of the Year, Shinedown, Foo Fighters, Godsmack, Sevendust, Avenged Sevenfold, Prophets of Rage, Rise Against, etc... Seen at least 100 bands.
Have tickets to see Five Finger Death Punch, Breaking Benjamin, Nothing More and Bad Wolves in August5 -

I listen to EVERYTHING so I've been to shows from all walks of life. I still say my favorite shows are the smaller more intimate venues, but hey if it's Live with a drink in you're hand you can't go wrong. Last show I saw was The Zac Brown Band at the Chelsea in Vegas.2

Really dig Zac Brown Band, my wife and I are both hooked on Beautiful Drug right now!"When walking in open territory bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask them to stop. If they do not stop, destroy them."1

Last concert I went to was Joe Satriani's G3 tour.
But In the last few years we've gone to Survivor, Megadeth (x2), Collective Soul, Tool, Whitesnake, Charlie Danials, and a handful of smaller local groups.
Best concert I ever went to was an impromptu metal concert in Sacramento. Devil Driver, Kitty, Atreyu and another group I can't remember were all on tour, and they were crossing Sac at the same time. A local radio station announced they would play a one night show at one of those intimate little concert venues. It was $10 to get in, and there had to be less than 300 people in the place. At one point I was chatting up this girl while watching the roadies set up. We were having a good time, I told her I was there mainly for Kitty, and she told me the same. When the local DJ announced Kitty was coming on, she just said "Excuse me" and climbed the front of the stage. She was the freaking singer. She kept winking at me throughout the show.
Definitely my best concert memory.
That, and drinking Jameson from the bottle while Flogging Molly played Drunken Lullabies at the end of a 3 hour set on St. Patty's Day."Cooking isn't about struggling; It's about pleasure. It's like sǝx, with a wider variety of sauces."

ZZ Top here tomorrow night at our outdoor bluesfest. Stoked.2
