Well folks probably should have posted on this a while ago, but I forgot. The question is this years winter/Chicago herf, move it, keep the same? Lets figure this out soon so travel plans can be made.

The voting on the vherf last night was for Las Vegas.

What's up with this? Keep it in Chicago and pick a different time for somewhere else? Not much input here if we wait too long to get this set up it might be too late. @trident would you mind getting this going if the group wants to keep it in Chicago?

Chicago is great because most of the people attending can drive. No one has a crystal ball, but my guess is that it would be a smaller gathering if it was moved, because half the people that usually attend won't fly and stay. Rooms near Casa de Montecristo are dirt cheap and close by.
If I could change anything I would improve Casa's ventilation system, and move it to early November.

The Chicago herf wouldn't be what it is if it moved elsewhere, that's just a silly thought. Us Arizona folks were kicking around the idea of an Arizona herf in July but we wouldn't do that to friends.

Just the good word (thank you Roman) we are welcome at Casa either the first or second weekend in December. Either one works for me so you all decide and this will be set!

i have to work the first weekend in December, so if thats the day, there is little chance i can be there. I would also have to clear the second weekend with the wife and baby, so im about 50/50 for the second weekend. but, if the first weekend works best for everyone else, don't plan around me0

In case anyone missed it earlier it looks like Randy @dirtdude would be able to make Dec 1-2 but based on how I read his post probably not other dates. He can obviously chime in and say otherwise but didn’t want that to get lost or missed.
