Good morning everyone!11 -
I set up a new work station on my cedar lined smoking porch, so that I can work at my new business in the morning cool while smoking a Daily Habit. I made a standing desk from a huge desk top, set atop a drafting table, with a new laptop, HDMI to a wide screen, with a wireless mouse and this keyboard:

... which I promptly smirched with ashes.
This is Daily Habit # 28, a plumpfecto rolled 9 weeks ago, consisting of 3 parts Ometepe, one part Mata Fina, Honduran seco binder, & some CT shade wrapper I discovered neglected for years in FX Smith's Sons basement. Holy crap, what a good cigar! At nine weeks it has really come into its own.
I call this series Daily Habit because I roll two a day, day after day, in an attempt to master the plumpfecto shape. Rolling is similar to what I suppose golfing must be, in that you do improve by daily practice, but you never feel as though you have mastered it.
I am anxiously awaiting a new batch of Esteli. My next Daily Habit blend will be Esteli and T-13 (which is a grafted cross between Criollo 98 and Piloto Cubano, grown in the Cibao Valley of the DR), bound in a supple Mata Fina from Brazil, and wrapped in the same super-aged CT shade from FX Smith's basement. I feel like after 5 years' rolling I am finally reaching the point where I can predict what new blend will kick ass. This will be blend # 36. Esteli waits for me to pick up at the post office on Monday. The Esteli will be rich, the T-13 flavorful, the Mata sweet, and the CT, which is so diaphanous that you can see right thru it, will add just the soupcon of floral cream and hint of bitter, like a Willamette hops.
“It has been a source of great pain to me to have met with so many among [my] opponents who had not the liberality to distinguish between political and social opposition; who transferred at once to the person, the hatred they bore to his political opinions.” —Thomas Jefferson (1808)
