Yet Another Oddball Alaskan Contest

Here's the deal:
Guess the date of the date of the first snow that sticks for the duration of winter in North Pole. Snow that sticks overnight but melts off during the day doesn't count. This is for the official unofficial start of this year's snowpack in my backyard. @Far_North_64 sits a little higher so he'll probably get snow before I do. Official results are what stays on my back yard. Contest will run through Oct 15 unless it snows before then. Your first guess sticks and just the date. Ties broken by whoever picked first. Closest either side wins if no one guesses correctly.
Winner gets a Santa Sampler.

Started snowing Saturday afternoon, 10/5 and I do believe I've seen the last of my grass until sometime in April. Calling it for @TBonz. PM your addy, Brother...I don't think I have it.. Congrats!I'm still troubled by what I did for that Klondike bar...7

Paul hit me hard with the package that traveled from the North Pole...it was like it was Christmas! I don't think I can wait until then to enjoy some of these beauties although I did manage to file all away and didn't treat myself last night! TYVM Paul!
