Sales tax? WTF?
Why the hell are all these places charging sales tax now?
I live in a state with income tax and no sales tax. I hate paying sales tax, when I pay way more than most states in income tax.
And for those that say you should be able to claim it against your taxes, there is a minimum before you can claim.
Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy cigars and that's close enough.

Wait till they start charging each states tobacco or cigar tax. Matter of time until the states start to push for it. When that happens, we'll have to bribe @ShawnOL and @silvermouse to trek to new hampshire or for @dirtdude and @Significant3 to send from Arizona...I am the Troll Jesus. Uncle Sugar always wants his cut of the action, and it's additive. In fact, very nearly every penny we spend goes to taxes.
Think about it, if you count up the tax on anything you buy from the point of raw material to finished product about 95% of the final price went to pay sales tax, transport tax, income tax and social security tax for all the people involved, business license tax, gas tax, diesel tax, it goes on and on.
And if we complain? Well, John Lennon said it best: "...should 5% appear too small, be thankful I don't take it all...'cause I'm the Tax Man..."

Oregon is trying to increase fuel tax by 51%. Not 5.1%, 51%. In a state that already has one of the highest fuel taxes in the nation. #5, I think. Depending on what report you read. 😮

A girl I know is out in California now and posted on snapchat that her weed purchase had $50+ in taxes. I responded that it wouldn't have ever been legalized if they didn't want to tax the shít out of it. Duh.7

Some online sites still do not charge sales tax. It probably won’t be long for them too.1

From what I’ve experienced so far is only some online retailers are charging the sales tax BS... the ones that don’t have an “I agree to terms and conditions” and in there will be something stating the buyer is responsible and agrees to pay all appropriate taxes and fees etc. So seems to be a loophole in the already corrupt system.If you quote me do the @TX98Z28 in your text or I won't be notified of your quote, Thanks.0

I get a statement from ccom and cbid at the end of the year showing how much I purchased that I'm supposed to report with my taxes so that I pay the sales tax at the end of the year..... Yea right.0
