Made Scotch pies subbing ground caribou for the traditional lamb. Followed the recipe as far as spices went...They were just like the ex monster-in-law used to make. Bland as hell. Forgot that Brit cooking is, at best, adequate. Quick, easy hot water pastry was pretty damn good tho...
eggplant, walnuts, dried Asian pear, basil, sweet habanero, in a light cream sauce, served on egg noodles and topped with a dollop of ricotta. Snickers for dessert.
