been thinking this morning about the ways the cyber world has invaded my (our) life. You can't even make a doctors' appointment without Facebook potentially getting a hold of it. For instance:

One of the reasons I don't pay any attention to any form of social media.

Yep. Remember back in 1984 when there were newspaper and magazine articles all year long about how "George Orwell was wrong". The talking heads all agreed, Orwell had been "proved wrong" because the future he envisioned hadn't manifested itself completely yet.

    It has now.

I am not surprised, we are a nation of consumers.

A nun quit the convent to become Colombia's top porn star.

“At first I was feeling bad, but now I am fine with it,” she said. “I also feel good when I go to church. I never miss Friday prayers, Saturday meetings or Sunday mass.”

I would say she does not fully comprehend the severity of the sin.

Cruise’s Robot Car Outages Are Jamming Up San Francisco
In a series of incidents, the GM subsidiary lost contact with its autonomous vehicles, leaving them frozen in traffic and trapping human drivers.

The Cruise vehicles that trapped Hu weren’t the only autonomous cars holding up traffic in San Francisco that night. Internal messages seen by WIRED show that nearly 60 vehicles were disabled across the city over a 90-minute period after they lost touch with a Cruise server. As many as 20 cars, some of them halted in crosswalks, created a jam in the city’s downtown in an incident first reported by the San Francisco Examiner and detailed in photos posted to Reddit.

What the hell was that? I couldn't read it all. Some kind of gutter language that made my head hurt.
