It’s Derby time…
It’s August and the silvers (coho, to you southerners) are running in Valdez. This year it’s a 3 day excursion from the 21st thru the 24th with 3 of us going: my brother, his bud & myself. Ya’ll have seen this before and standard contest boilerplate applies:
Guess the total number of salmon caught and the total weight for the 3 days. Closest guess to each number snags a forum fiver. Bonus guess for the heaviest single salmon; closest one grabs a bonus fiver. Official weights determined by Katie’s almost calibrated, banged up spring scale. Open till midnight AK time on the 20th.
Do a little google-fu to figure things out like limits and sizes….I’m not gonna give any hints!

At this point, @CalvinAndHobo has the lead. Things are not going well in Valdez. Sunday afternoon was a bust and yesterday wasn’t much better. We’re at 2 silvers for a total of 11 lbs with the heaviest being 6 lbs. Dismal…..

I hope you were in the right spot at the wrong time and that the population hasn't crashed. I read the Alaska king snow crabs have mysteriously disappeared. Just too many humans on this planet.
