Okay, fellahs, here’s the end of day 2 update. Things picked up a bit once we puttered through the incredibly dense fog bank. My 2 rookies and I managed to miss hooking at least a dozen. We did however succeed in boating another dozen, heaviest was 11 lbs, total weight today was 73 lbs. That brings us to 14 total caught so far, total weight 86 lbs and the heaviest at 11 lbs. Final day tomorrow; gonna be a short one. We’ll be driving back to Squarebanks so the final update won’t be until Thursday….

Thank you, @CalvinAndHobo for speaking Day 2's success into existence. You are a true mensch, indeed.

Sorry for the day’s delay…things were in a bit of disarray when I got into work. We had a pretty successful morning on Wednesday. Boated 6 more including the heaviest of the trip. Here’s the breakdown:
20 total caught (Don’t ask how many we missed or lost🙄🙄)
141 total lbs (came out to just shy of 80 lbs of filets)
13 lb heaviest. (my brother got lucky)@TNBigfoot68 hits the totals with guesses of 17 & 145
@genareddog nails the heaviest with a spot on guess of 13Congrats, guys! I’ll do my best to get the winnings out asap. Boat didn’t break & the roads were standard Alaskan rough…but..there’s always a “but”…one set of leaf springs on the trailer said “We quit” about 70 miles into the return trip. Had to limp the 40 miles to the next town and drop the boat & trailer off. I’ll run the 230 miles down next week, replace both sets of springs, drag it all back and then make a second Valdez run Labor Day week.
