Sad to hear of his death. I saw him on the "Wired" tour in '76 with Jan Hammer. Awesome! I can't remember the bass players name, but he was awesome, too. Check out his CV, a major keystone in Rock history, no doubt. His style isn't for everybody, but I liked the Jazz/Blues/Rock fusion that was unique to him.

    Im a big fan of his fusion works,he also did some great blues.as well.

    I was listening and watching Jeff Beck on the tube a while back. He was playing rock and he shifted into a famous Puccini aria from La Boheme, O Mio Babbino Caro. I couldn't believe it but sure as sh it he was playing the vocals. Blew me away.
