Are These still a thing?. Had some 15 years ago and dont really remember what they were like just that they existed.

Most were like grass covered in horse píss. Yeah they are still a thing just not as prevalent

Some Fuentes still come in Candela. Every once in awhile I smoke one. I recommend the Spanish Lonsdale if you're interested in giving it a try. They used to be a lot more popular, I think.
You can also sometimes find some candela mixed pipe tobaccos. I have one that was sent to me by Stubble, I think, and it lends a smooth cigar-y taste to the smoke.
You'll also take notice of certain smokes that are fairly popular such as Serpents and Rainbows and Tiger Lily that use the contrast of Candela or Cameroon and Maduro in other wrappers to give them their signature patterned look, and if you're familiar with the candela taste you can appreciate it in the smoke.
Like many things, a little goes a long way, and individual tastes vary greatly.

The best one I remember having was by Illusione. But I’ve always liked it best like @Amos_Umwhat said as an accent to a cigar. The Green Hornet is another good example.

Wasabi by Espinosa are good as is the Illusione Rusty spoke of. The RP Candela, for me, is horrific.

I will keep an eye out. There are not many downsides to island life, but variety in bourbons and cigars is definitely restricted here.

This place had a good selection, not sure if they’re still around San Juan. You could pick one up to try.

Just talked to one of the guys on the CigarPage staff. He said they do ship to Puerto Rico and it’s priority mail USPS
