Faulty cigar?
I grabbed a Punch Clasico London Club from my humidor this morning to have before work. I noticed the draw being very open, and after lighting, wouldn’t stay lit for very long. The flavor wasn’t great, but I just thought I was outgrowing them—my preference is Nicaraguan cigars now. I looked at the head of the cigar and noticed what looked like a bunch of stems. Am I crazy? I’ve only noticed this one other time on, of all things, a Padron 1925 #35 (I was very disappointed in this one, as it was tasteless; thought it was a storage problem from the online retailer, or it was really old). My humidor sits at 62 to 65 rh. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Stems are a normal thing in a cigar. To be honest, it looks to me like you cut too much off of the head. This cigar is cut.

You can control the draw a lot by your cut. You can always cut more if need be, but you can’t add back.
If it don’t bother me, it don’t bother me. Just leave me alone.
Thanks. I need to pay more attention to my cut.
