What ashtray do you use?

I am considering purchasing a box of the % Vegas Limitada 2008's with the box top ashtray. I don't really want an entire box of those sticks, but I like the ashtray. I guess I will have to talk it over with myself some more haha.0

Found this on ebay today. Pricey but not over $100.Krieg:i dont have an ashtray atm, i am actually searching for one. I have been trying to find the CAO Cubist, but I have only seen couple that were under $50. Most are over $100! I am not paying that much for a freaking ashtray. But then again, most people would look at me funny paying $50.

$85 plus 10 for shipping! I really liked that ashtray, but for $100 from my B&M, no chance. I picked up one for a quarter of the price and it will still hold 4 cigars and look good doing it. Just my 2 cents....jsnake:

I actually found my cubist, it was at a local shop here in Ga. I tried it out for the first time yesterday, it was awesome, i think this ashtray is gonna look really cool in my cigar room (when I build it).

A good cigar and the open road solve most problems.

I believe “Ken” is the most appropriate term in this particular situation.

My sister got me one of these a couple years back, and it's been my indoor ashtray ever since."Cooking isn't about struggling; It's about pleasure. It's like sǝx, with a wider variety of sauces."

I got a couple of those free with an order. If they only had rests it’d be a good little ashtray. I brought one to the Muletown herf and it was useful for catching nubs and cello etc.

One year when I had ordered some isom cigars they sent a cigar rest as a holiday thank you gift, just the right size for the m&m bowl.

Fuente and two Tat are my most used ones, have a couple concrete ones my Uncle made too.

Currently in progress of my first crack at a cigar box ashtray too… started with a 2019 SNS box which was my first one (thanks again and a ton @WaterNerd once again for the help back then 🫶) and some turning blanks to Zebrawood and Purple Heart and reusing all sorts of Tat and cigar leftovers to make it. Cut tiles of the two hardwoods and tried to do what I could to level and make them seamless with only a sander which was only somewhat successful (not really haha 😂) and then made the floor from the Tat gold wet pack foil from the TAA 2020 box, bands from a few Tat’s and special to me cigars, and making the frame to go around the top from the bottom half of the old Room 101 Master Collection II box. Poly to coat the insides which took several days and rounds to set and dry and move to the next surface too. Used to working with metal and this is my first try with wood and learning many many many methods of how NOT to do things but it has been fun and it is still coming out pretty well so far. Sanded and refinished the outside of the box and stained with new stain and am in the middle of coats of polycrylic topcoat. Not sure if I like the color and may need to sand it all back down and stain it darker instead, still waiting to decide. Also messed up the cuts in the Room 101 box frame wrap around so now have to adjust again for another mistake and have to cut out and finish some brass to make it look instead like an artistic decision 😂🤷♂️🤦♂️

Yes, y’all had a 3+ year break from the super wordy long winded novel length posts, but no more….

Dam, y’all fancy like Applebees on a date night! I use my Xikar cutter to hold my cigar if needed, the little opener button holds a cigar perfectly across, though I rarely put my cigar down as I don’t smoke and do things.
This is my delux ashtray

Mostly, though I have come out to find the whole thing blown over on occasion when the weather turns. It’s more for convenience, it sits to the side of my usual cigar chair vs having a table ashtray and the associated smells neareth the face lol.

I picked up a heavy, deep Camacho Powerband ashtray when they were blowing them out and I love it.

You make a @Bob_Luken cigar rest out of some bent copper wire or a coat hanger, a layer of sand in the bottom or some rocks would keep it from blowing over. I believe that @Bob_Luken uses a flower pot as an ashtray.
