College football. I'll take my sports without a side of politics. Then you're not a college football fan apparently
https://www.cbsnews.com/newyork/news/isaiah-crowell-instagram-post/
Figures it would be a browns player and Francis would defend it.https://www.outkick.com/nfl-honors-criminal-dreasjon-reed-who-shot-at-police-wants-you-to-say-his-name/
NFL chooses to praise a guy who shot at police over the police themselves.Figures it would be Nick that would put up a ridiculous and offensive straw man argument and then attributed to somebody else. ๐
College football is rife with politics and if you don't know that, you've been in a fuรงking coma for the last 20 years.
I was digging at you about the Browns but there has never been a college team or the NCAA post to social media support for a man who shot at cops.
I'm glad that your panties are not all twisted up. ๐ Crowell is garbage. So is DeShawn Watson BTW.
Although I hear you when it comes to the politics side, the NFL is just like any other large organization or collection of human talent. They have to give Credence to the people who actually bring in the advertising dollars, and that's the players.
Same thing is going on in the USAF, by the way. We now have full sleeve tattoos, neck finger, and behind the ear tattoos, reduced PT standards, and a lower tolerance for unabashed right-wing politics because you just couldn't recruit 300,000 people who fit yesterday's mold.
Same thing is going on in the NCAA when it comes to nil, transfer portals, crowd chants, and more. Exhibit A is that transgender swimmer. Tell me that has nothing to do with politics.
Hell just last night they made a bunch of BYU students take off their "horns down" t-shirts. Senators from your home state wanted a public lynching of the CFP committee because Florida State didn't get into the playoffs! Now throw gambling into the mix and tell me that it's not political.
Let's not even mention that college campuses are amongst the most politically charged and active places in the United States. Don't kid yourself and think that the student athlete isn't affected by ior sucked up into it.
Saying that college sports is apolitical is a head-in-the-sand take. I think more accurately, you don't necessarily disagree with any of the politics that are surrounding college sports, or if you do, you don't feel as strongly about them as you do about NFL politics.

I was going to cheer for the underdog Lions but I don't want to watch a Taylor Swift/ Lions Super Bowl. Go niners or whatever.
Translation: I'd feel obligated to watch if the Lions made it. I can easily skip it if the 49ers win.

Celebrating period is a pet peeve of mine. Act like youโve done your job before and celebrate after the game.

I haven't watched modern NFL in years, going back before 2016. The entitlement mentality that so many players exhibit finally got to be too much for me. My son and I occasionally watch a classic game, such as Favre's game after his dad died. Other than that, I only watch high school football, and that's usually because my daughter's marching band is the half-time show.

Absolutely senseless and heartless act of violence. Idc who you cheer for, this is unacceptable. As I post this, 1 d3ad and 22 injured. My prayers go out to KC, players, coaches and fans. How horrible.2
