Which band?
I used to buy albums as they came out
and had a decent collection of cassettes. Fast forward many years and im rebuilding my collection with cds. Next two bands to buy up: kiss and Metallica. What should I buy next?

Going with Metallica. The nostalgic memories of my childhood aren't enough to spend hundreds of dollars on stuff I'll probably be disappointed with. I was drinking when I posted the poll.

Metallica. Probably top five favorite bands.
However, Kiss, was one of my first ten albums I bought. Also, was my first rock concert. Snuck out with my best friend and his older brother. Face paint like Gene Simmons. Seattle, circa 1979-1980?? Contact high for sure. Looking back, getting caught, grounded for a month and an ass whooping was worth it.
A good cigar and the open road solve most problems.

Back in the late '60s the local radio station would play entire new-release albums with maybe one interruption. Recorded that on a reel to reel tape recorder.

I remember as a kid having sat by the radio with a cassette tape recorder, waiting for good songs to come on so I could make my own mix tape. Horrible quality recordings but we thought it was the coolest tech.
