I’m sure I already know but don’t want to blindly assume. Should tobacco reviews be taken seriously or are they similar to cigar reviews…BS💩. However, what I do like about these reviews is the relevant information such as blender, origin, blend breakdown and etc. This info I can use.

A good cigar and the open road solve most problems.

    Everything is so subjective. Even the shape of a pipe that you smoke a blend though can affect the flavor. Palates and perception vary drastically along with imaginations. In my opinion look at it like cigars. Use the actual information (origin, blender, blend) and go from there.

    If it don’t bother me, it don’t bother me. Just leave me alone.

    Sometimes the information on the TobaccoReviews site is inaccurate with regard to blend components, most of the time it's fine. One of the issues is that pipe tobacco blends change with availability of leaf and the site doesn't get updated. Gawith and Hoggarth are saying now that Dark Birdseye no longer contains any birdseye (stalk) tobacco and that this blend is the same as Kendal Dark and Kendal Kentucky now.

    Jim Amish (Jiminks) posted the last two years worth of his Ken Byron reviews only on PSD due to difficulty posting reviews for new releases on TR.

    Personally i dont feel like any review is total BS, i actually learn alot from them, the key things i look at are tobacco used, flavor notes, for me i like the sweet notes like caramel, molasses, coco, personally i pick those notes up pretty well since well, i eat alot of things containing those flavors. Sometimes people use ridiculous descriptions like “sun baked molasses on a lemon in july” or some off the wall **** that is mosty laughable, so again, for the most part i look to see what particular tobacco used and flavor pokes through the most to help me determine wether ill buy it or not.

    Those molasses soaked July lemons are chef's kiss. I tried to grab some in June and it just wasn't the same.
