4th of july.
Every year on the 4th, which I get off, I go in to work and put on a small cookout for the guys stuck working. My company should be closed on the major holidays but they refuse to. I have a graduation party to go to on the 4th, so that's out.
This year, since I'm off Wednesdays, I'll be doing it on the 3rd. Cheddar jalapeño burgers, hot dogs, brats. The basics. My guys get a full belly and I get to feel less guilty about getting the day off and they dont.

Always good to make a list and check it twice. I use the check off feature in notes on my iPhone. Comes in handy when grocery shopping or packing for a trip or prepping for a herf. Once I add an item to the list it's got a check by it, and I check it off by touch screen as I go. The item remains on the list and moves up out of the way of the checked group and it's still there for the next time it needs me to add the check again for another time.

I get to one of our buildings at 9am and put the parade floats in their correct order in the parking lot. After the floats depart, I go to my building and work in peace. At 5pm I return to the previous building and help park cars and keep the lots organized for the fireworks. After the fireworks I help make sure there is order leaving the lot, then I go home for a nap before I have to be back at work the next day.
