And I apologize from the heart of my bottom… It’s that time of year and that means it’s Silver Derby time once again. This year’s excursion runs from Aug 21 thru the 25th in beautiful Valdez, AK. Doncha wanna know how it works?
Standard contest boilerplate applies, entries open until midnight AK time Aug 20, one set of predictions per entrant, your first set sticks.
Guess the total number of silver salmon (coho to you southerners) caught, the total weight and the single heaviest fish. You’re getting three chances to win for the price of one! Holy raging hobbit boners, how can ya pass that up!?!
Do your due dilligence as to limits, average sizes and the like… All contest official weights are via Katie’s hot pink,non calibrated, Harbor Freight high quality spring scale There are 3 of us going this trip.
Forum fivers, perhaps a wee bit o’ swag & a fillet or 2, insh’ allah, to the closest guesses either side of actual results.

F*ckin @CalvinAndHobo & his karma. To say things here have gone sideways would be an understatement of epic proportion. Had to have emergency surgery on my jaw, then Leroy the unofficial herf derp died on me and the following day Katie’s mom had a stroke. Had to cancel the Valdez trip, so Calvin hits it with the first set of all goose eggs. PM an addy, brother, & I’ll get something out as soon as I can…

I will add. If you go out with your buddies on the boat, have a great time, and don’t catch anything, then that’s my win. This though isn’t funny at all, so I’d rather just postpone it until next time, where I promise to guess zero again. Hope things get better for you @Trykflyr_1 let me know if you need anything.

Fellahs, thanks for the well wishes. Things aren’t near as dire as it sounds. Just had to cancel a fishin trip. Katie’s mom has made what appears to be an incredible recovery and is 80% back to her ornery self; the remaining 20 isn’t far off. That was the major hurdle. Unforeseen circumstances notwithstanding, the terms were laid out. You hit it, @CalvinAndHobo & listen to yer elders… Addy up, chicken butt. Karma’s a right pain, innit?
