Suggestions?? Hemingway's??
Hi everyone... I have a question about recommendations. I'm a HUGE fan of the Fuente Hemingway Maduro's... as you know they are as easy to find as chicken lips. So my question is... are there are any other brands that are similar? I know that the Hemingways are great, but I'm not that familiar with some other brands available? Are there any out there that are close but more readily available? I know there are a lot of experts in this group... so are there any others that are similar? I appreciate your input... thank you.

Yeah... you're right but it's hard to break a habit. The Maduro's just have this sweetness about them... and if I'm going to find time to smoke a cigar, believe you me... I've gotta love em. That's why I'm tapping into the power of this group.

The Sungrown and Maduro (I'm pretty sure) are seasonal, so that's why the Cameroon are more plentiful.
As to your initial question, I'm not much help. IMNSHO, turning a perfect Cameroon wrapper into a maduro is an unforgivable sin. But if they're right for you, they are right.

I believe they use Connecticut broadleaf for their maduro. There are a shítton of cigars out there that use it. Just use the google machine and search for Connecticut broadleaf cigars and try to find others that have basement must and wàng as part of the filler components.

You might try the Oliva G maduro. Buy a 5-er and see if it works for you.

Now you've got me thinking. Hemingway Maduro is at, or near the top of the list for me as well. Oliva G maduro, as I mentioned, Aganorsa leaf makes a maduro that is also highly satisfying, don't ask me which one, but it's out there. And Padron 1964 maduro in one of the smaller ring gauges is quite similar to my palate, compatible with the Hemingway.
Whatever happens, as much as I love and look for the Hemingway Maduros, if you limit yourself to only one cigar it will eventually become "just" a cigar. Variety will add to your enjoyment.

Padron 2000, Padron 1964, Foundation Olmec, Foundation Tabernacle, AJ Fernandez, My Father, Tats….etc etc etc etc. Google search 👀 will provide a plethora of information and resources.
A good cigar and the open road solve most problems.

No trying to piss in your Cheerios but the common thread so far has been either "Fuente sucks" or "Fuente is over priced/rated" I like the suggestions of branching out and finding something else out there that's not $342 a box.

I like Fuentes fine. Really enjoying a cache of Roma Craft Cromagnon at the moment.
Edit: to my taste buds, similar flavors.

Thank you everyone for your guidance!! Being a member here brings with an enourmous amount of information and education. I know I've been smoking cigars for about 20 years and still have a lot to learn but I always learn something new from reading the threads... everybody here really rocks!!! Thank you again...
