The Region-Beta Paradox explains that we’ll often silently suffer through the things that are “not that bad”. If it stays in that area of not being so bad that we recognize it as being awful for us it becomes something we tolerate without triggering us to take action to improve the situation.

But people like this really irritate the shít outta me. These things have been growing natively for a helluva lot longer than anyone actually knows. But yet this kid wants to bioengineer them to make them better??? How about you leave nature to nature for a damn change. I wish that just every once in awhile people would see something other than dollar signs.
Interesting. I think it looks better than a Tesla truck, for sure. I could easily deal with the lack of gizmos and amenities, but they're going to have to at least quadruple that range. A claimed 150 miles per charge, hmm. Usually claimed is what happens under the most ideal conditions, knock off about 30% for reality means maybe 105 mile range, that would barely get me to the nearest Sam's club, and then strand me 10 or 15 miles from home on the way back.
I'm averaging 600 miles on a tank of gas with the Dodge, so a hard no from me. But, gotta start somewhere, I guess if you live in town it might be worth it.

A study of 100 young adults found that those with authoritarian beliefs, both right-wing and left-wing, exhibit differences in brain areas associated with social reasoning and emotional regulation compared to those with more centrist views. Right-wing authoritarians showed lower grey matter volume in the dorsomedial prefrontal cortex, while left-wing authoritarians had less cortical thickness in the right anterior insula. The study suggests that both groups act impulsively in emotionally negative situations, with left-wing authoritarians tending to be more anxious.

Authoritarianism and the brain: Structural MR correlates associated with polarized left- and right-wing ideology traits
"It was a slow process. It was a gradual awakening, driven by Asia’s own rise. Let me give you a simple number that captures the scale of the shift: In 1980, the European Union’s gross national product was 10 times larger than China’s. Today, the two figures are roughly equal. And by 2050, Europe’s economy is projected to be just half the size of China’s. So if you’ve gone from being 10 times larger to only half the size – and you’re still talking down to China – then the problem isn’t with China. The problem is with you."

140 mile range and no paint are deal-breakers. Put a 5.0L and 4wd in it and I'd be interested.

That's an interesting question, Shawn. Just speaking for myself, I am more centrist politically and have a dislike for authoritianism.

A good cigar and whiskey solve most problems.
So there's 23,000 genes and they test 50 of them for mutations? What about the other 98% of your genes?
