I feel stupid. This is going to make doing percentages in my head so much easier.

Yeah, like when I want to figure 18% off on a box that's $160.

I checked. It's true. Also, if you were trying to keep it down to 3 states while headed to NC, and if you took a wrong turn into southern Illinois, you might not notice you were in Illinois. I mean it's not horrible and attempts by the residents there to harm you are unlikely.

    You'll know by the tolls.

A friend knows someone that has some kind of ties to Churchill Downs. She was in the stables yesterday before the Oaks. I've seen a pic of her and one of the most famous trainers in the business. Here's a picture from a little bit ago. I hope his mother was a mudder.

I was just trying dump on northeastern Illinois, but once again I had to check. I couldn't find any toll roads in the southern part of the state. All I see is tolls in the northeast. But I have a vague memory of hitting a toll road once outside of Chicagoland while driving back from the MKE herf years ago. May have been Rockford IL.

I didn't know it was derby day, so I tuned in, and the big race doesn't even happen for four more hours or so, but all-day coverage of every f***ing detail is underway. Dylan Dryer of NBC's Today show commented on the rainy conditions, "No one cares if it's rainy or not". Could she call herself useless any harder than that?

The percentage off is the same but the end amount is different.

Contrary to popular belief, umami is not a taste. The word umami translates from the Japanese as “delicious” or “deliciousness”. It is a feeling or sensation, not a taste. It was coined as a “taste” by the chemist that invented MSG to help promote his product.
