Newspapers ran a summer reading list with one big problem.
What was it? Many titles were made up by artificial intelligence. The supplement, which ran in the Chicago Sun-Times and the Philadelphia Inquirer, also had unidentifiable quotes.
How did it happen? The freelance writer of the section said he used AI chatbots and didn’t double-check the work. The papers said they’d take more care in the future.
We have unmanned (computer controlled drones, fighter jets and submarines. Not farfetched to think ai might pose a risk to humans in the near future. The technology already exists. Our masters are in control of this technology and can use it against us at a whim. Once ai becomes self-aware it may just decide humans are a threat to it. Scary stuff.

Medical patents are generally good for 20yrs. There are exceptions granted that can extend them for reasons such as use of the drug being held up by regulations. In my opinion the problem isn’t with capitalism. The problem lies with the legislature that doesn’t change the patent laws. They have no reason to because the pharmaceutical companies pay them in too many ways not to. The problem lies with the government…like most of them do.

AI can't fact check itself. Why is that so hard?

True, hadn't thought about that. As long as ai doesn't figure out to shield them.

"Last July, the cost of my monthly Revlimid prescription increased by 7% to $19,660."
Disgusting, this is for a pill that costs $7.50 for a month's supply.
It is a long read, but after reading it anyone still feels the gov't should keep its hand out of free capitalism really should reassess that.

Have you tried sourcing an overseas supplier?
Magnetic jammers, nvg, personal armor, food, water, gas……………
A good cigar and whiskey solve most problems.
And old cars you don't have to worry about being remotely disabled.

I don't have problems, just more work to do.

Make sure it actually works before forcing people to take it? Strange.
