Nope. It definitely would be convenient…but that would be too easy lol

So every maker uses their own diameter stem tenon? That sucks.

I’d say quite a few of them are the same size. There are just a lot of variances in pipe designs that have different sizes.

I see. I'll look online for cheap replacements. If nothing I'll contact the maker.

Kinda makes it hard to smoke.

I hate it when that happens. I broke the tenon off my favorite cheap car pipe. I bought some replacement stems from the going out of business sale at RNA Treasures and used the third one from the top to replace it, but I had to sand down the tenon until it fit. I did it by hand and I also ended up drilling the hole larger from the bit and funneling the airway with a file to get a better draw but it's working good now. I later learned that people chuck the stem up in a lathe or drill and make the sizing of the tenon faster.

Your stem will be harder to replace because it's a bent taper. Here's some ideas.

    1. Some pipe repair guys find a metal tube that fits the ID of the stem and tenon to glue it back together. You could try this or try and find someone else to do this.
    2. You could send this pipe out for repair. If you want to do this, I can look for some recommendations. There's still people around that will make you a replacement stem.
    3. You could try and buy a stem to replace it, but matching the style will be tough and you may need to sand the tenon to fit.
    4. You could buy a straight stem to fit and bend it yourself.

Talbert pipes sells some stems in bulk, but I don't see a good match (bulldog seems the closest) and you probably only want one stem: https://talbertpipes.com/product-category/supplies/

Vermont Freehand sells stems, mostly straights:

You could watch the RNA Treasures Instagram account. They've closed up their website but are selling off their inventory on Instagram now. You could try and find a donor pipe with a matching stem, they range from $10 - $50, they MAY sell some stems again in the future. https://www.instagram.com/rnatreasures/

I'd also be happy to send you one of the remaining stems I picked up if you want to try your hand at making it fit. Not sure I see a good match, though.

Are tenons all the same diameter? That would be very convenient.

No. Of course not. What were you thinking? :D
