Currently 89 deg. and 60% RH, which is about 12 deg. and 10% lower than it has been since Sunday. It's gonna give a thunderstorm sometime this evening, too.

Southern IL right now, we'll see what Kentucky is like in a few hours.
As you head east and start getting wet…don’t worry it’s not rain. It’s the damn humidity. Stay safe.
It got about 8 degrees “colder” and did exactly what you said, so it feels hotter than before. This is much more “hot” than the 110 Arizona days last year. At least I’m pounding the water every time I pull over.
It's been in the high 90s/low100s and >70%rh from Sunday through Thursday afternoon. I am currently sitting on my enclosed back porch with the windows mostly shut. I started out wearing shorts and a t-shirt, but have gradually changed into long lounge pants and a full-sleeved shirt. The temp is 65 degrees, with 95%rh. Weird.
It cooled off to 72 here now, the Hell Mutt playfully attacked me while I was sitting on the chair smoking a cigar during vHerf and bit me on the lip, but didn't break the skin. She misses my Wife who likes to play rough with her. I finished smoking the drumsticks and ate a dinner of drumsticks, rice, salad, and a Hawaiian sweet roll on the patio while enjoying my second cigar.

Weather.com doesn't know what's going on. Monday and Tuesday they said rain for today. Wed-fri they said no rain. Today it's raining and theyve now changed their guess to rain. Smh.

Are phrases like half past, quarter till dropping away these days with the digital time displays? I used to run a program on my Unix Sparq station at work called QT that would output the time in approximate English phrases like quarter till.
My Brave AI answer gets it wrong at first then right.
"Quarter till" is a phrase used to indicate 15 minutes before a specific hour. For example, "a quarter till eleven" means 10.
This expression is commonly used by older people, while younger generations tend to prefer stating the exact time.
The term "till" is short for "until," so "a quarter till eleven" translates to "15 minutes until 11 o'clock".
In some regions, particularly in the northeastern United States, "quarter till" is more commonly used than "quarter to".
However, there is some variation in usage, and some people may find the phrase ambiguous.
Overall, "quarter till" is a traditional way of expressing time that is still understood and used in certain contexts.

Oversharing is what I feel like I'm doing here. Popcorn thunderstorms. The kind that grow as separate little red rain dumping cells. Not much wind in between cells. 85 Deesgrees. Y'all remember Rick Dees? Disco Duck? He was a very popular DJ on FM pop radio out of Memphis before he went to California and he used to always give the temperature in Deesgrees.

Not bad for 2:00 pm
After a few days of 90+ it is downright chilly now at 64.

Some regions use "quarter of".
Yes they are. Most younger people I’ve said “quarter til” or “quarter of” to think it means 25 minutes.
Quarter of doesn't seem right for time telling. Quarter of 12 is 3.
