Daaaaang! Yours look way fancier than mine! Enjoy your smokes bro
If you're new to this hobby and find you're enjoying it, you've come to the right place. It takes awhile to figure out what you like, and then when you do, you'll find your taste changes with experience. Watch the "what are you smoking threads" for ideas. I've been doing this for a long time and I see stuff I've never tried nearly every time I open one of those threads.
Glad to have you in the mix. You have shown signs of being a good fit here. You will quickly learn that this is a no-hold-barred kind of environment, so be prepared. You will also learn, if you last, that while we may give each other a lot of schidt from time to time, at the end of the day our differences don't matter and it's an amazingly supportive group.

I kind of started out watching the current smoking thread(not this forum however) and then just started searching for beginner recommendations and picked a couple off of that list to make sure I got them then just bid on a few five packs cigarillos(but are they really the same?) and singles of different varieties(size, color, fullness) to hopefully round out my options.
It’s overwhelming to me how large of a selection there is and where I have no real starting point I’m trying to just remember what the ones I have ordered are called for now. I have made a cigar scanner account to try and journal if you will to help me keep track
It also doesn’t help that I live in Utah and can’t have them shipped directly to me from most sites but have to send them to a friend/family and then they have to “gift” them to me.
I usually prefer the environment that doesn’t hold back though otherwise I’m not going to thrive and grow at the rate I’d like. So far I’ve enjoyed my time here and felt welcomed from everyone I’ve met.
…….my better half and MIL also approve (for now) 🤣
That was my original thought but in my mind I was thinking I want at least two of each for myself so I can try A, B, C and D then try them again later and have some sort of reverence. Also my lady partakes on occasion too and as odd as it is I don’t like splitting smokes I’d rather just get her her own(learned that as an ex cigarette/vape). Which lead me to mostly five packs and with that I have one or two from the packs I can trade to you fine gentleman.

A single cigar is not meant to be shared. That's your experience....

I will probably directly quote you when she inevitably asks to try my smokes haha and then I’ll hand her her own
I keep a couple of those tube's around for putting lit cigars in when I have to go into a non-smoking area like the common areas in my apartment building. Think; get home, tube my cigar, go inside my apartment, relight it.

Ahhh are they sturdy then? I kind of assumed they would be more cardboardy or a flimsyish plastic. What is that cigar is it considered beginner friendly? Haha I wanna try
@OmgFrigginMike look it up. It’s pricey. It’s a Padron. @CalvinAndHobo only smokes high end cigars and don’t ask for his address, he doesn’t do trades 🫣

She immediately responded after I screenshot “I’m not a lonely old lady!”

I believe, technically, she only moistened the cap… And the entire wrapper.....
Great save, She's a keeper.
Maybe it was her first and she just couldn't figure out how to light it.......
Yeah she's definitely better than my last MIL haha.
That white one looks fancy. Is that just a tube that it comes in rather than cellophane?
Yup

That's cool. Enjoy it man!

A good cigar and whiskey solve most problems.
Trades are fine, and I love me some AJ Fernandez cigars, don’t listen to this jokester, but yes please don’t bomb me for no reason.
