Toss em if they are that dry. You'll be able to replace them for cheap if they are that old. They will be flavorless hot air at this point.
From my post -** I had to quit smoking and drinking when I started taking cardiac meds and kind of forgot about the cigars.**
The advice still stands. We read your post. There is no way to bring them back and they should be tossed. Starting over with new sticks is the only way to go.
@TRayB
I did read the post and understand he wants to "trade" them for something. I'm not trying to be a dink, but what are they really worth? A Bic lighter..... maybe. I'd even be suspect of the humidor sitting for 10 to 15 years. Unfortunately, there's no value to any of it. The humidor can be used as a keepsake box and the cigars should be mulched into the lawn.
Yes, I understand they are essentially worthless, because I have heard (read) all you intelligent gentleman explain it to several people over the last few years. I was just pointing out that he wasn't trying to replace them or start over, since he no longer smokes.
@calex837 this is where you need to start. Look through the thread and get the idea and if you want to do a newbie trade let me know. Then you can get on the Good Traders List and be involved in games and stuff.
This game sounds fun. Guess I’m looking for a sponsor? I likely won’t be able to send my package out until next weekend. Just FYI I am a noob who’s trying to figure out what I like and have only purchased fairly cheap cigars so far so please don’t send me super high quality as I don’t know good from bad yet and haven’t spent a ton on the ones I’ll be sending you first.

I think there are some placeholders, rules and requirements to meet prior to your first trade.
Also, just know it’s not a contest to see who sends what to who. Folks here will send what they feel appropriate with NO expectation in return.
Look around at the whatcha smoking threads to see examples of what people are smoking around here.
Good luck.
I’ll take a closer look when I get off work tonight and see what I need to do to check the boxes. Thanks for pointer in the right direction. Like I said this sounds fun and also sounds like a great way to get introduced into some wouldn’t think to try.
Once you have 50 quality posts, you'll be eligible for a newbie trade. You'll ask for a sponsor in this thread, you send a forum fiver to your sponsor and they'll return fire.
The 50 posts lets us get to know you some, but more importantly you will get a chance to engage and really decide if this is the kind of place that you're comfortable with, a thick skin and a sense of humor are handy here.

That seems reasonable enough and I can respect that. 32 more to go! Haha
Sweet! I’m working on hitting my 50 but a couple of my posts almost felt forced so I’m gonna slow down and do it naturally. Just because I don’t want to mess things up on this forum am I allowed to do private trades already? Somebody messaged me and said they want to do a trade but if it’s forum rules to wait until 50 I’ll respectfully decline for now.

If someone wants to do a trade with you, that’s between the two of you. The loose standards that were mentioned were for getting on our Good Traders List and makes you eligible to participate in games and such.

Have you smoked any of the cigars you purchased already?
I have not. I want to let them sit in the humidifier for a week or two before I light one up. I may spark one of the cafe macanudo cigarillos here soon though

I think he's not looking to start over and replace them, just looking for a place for them to go.
I told him where they should go, and why.
Right on the lawn...
