Hard to see, but looks like mold. Does it wipe off easily? Is there any on the foot of the cigar. Many folks just wipe it off if it's just on the surface of the wrapper and they don't see any in the foot and smoke away.

It does wipe off but not completely. It has been in a separate container at 69% for about 6 weeks and hasn’t really changed. So for someone that has never dealt with mold or plume can these be smoked? I am assuming that’s a no.

To my noobie eyes these spots are concerning to me. Is it also under the band? How does the foot of the cigar look?

Sorry man I think I'd be tossing it. I've heard of some people cutting an inch or so off the foot and checking again but I think its toast

Don’t smoke that. When it’s on the foot like that there’s no way to tell how bad it is. Toss it and keep a close check on any that were with it before you separated it.
Did it get this way in the storage you currently use or was it bought that way?

Friend gave it to me when she came back from Mexico. I noticed the spots right away and put it in a small Tupperware with a Boveda pack. They were never in my humidor.

Ah just smoke it. Mexican Cubans are like cracker Jax, there's always a surprise inside. Might be a feather or beetle or maybe if you're lucky, a toenail clipping!
