Same thing happens to the Amish that happens to the rest of us. Human nature is human nature, and as such, is unwilling to relinquish any ground to a 'higher calling'. Tie that together with 'Murica' and it's a hard row to hoe.

Churches, locations, ages of populations, even location can make changes. Areas where folks are moving in and land prices skyrocket you can see more living on smaller acreage and relying on factory work and English drivers for taxi. The camper and motorhome places in Indiana had a huge influx of Amish workers during the pandemic.
