When I first saw the picture, I thought it was for 10, which would be a great deal. It's not a bad price for 5, and I get free shipping, plus a 20% discount with the Elite Advantage, so $56 for 10, which is good enough..
ETA: for reference some page has them for $58 for a fiver.

I wouldn’t doubt it. The last few years anything that says Cohiba has taken the msrp approach that Gurkha used. It really helped their cause when the Cuban market skyrocketed. The name Cohiba is well known so the casual smoker will pick one up thinking they have something special lol.

I think this is true, but Cohiba seems to be taking a different track with the Rubicon. Its MSRP is under $9 for all vitolas (is the plural vitoli ??), and the one I smoked yesterday was pretty enjoyable. Maybe they realized they were pricing themselves out of the everyday smoker's range?

I think every major cigar maker is coming to the realization that if they want to not only survive, but strive, with the way things are these days that they have to have budget friendly sticks. By pricing something budget friendly under their label they also create a gateway to their more profitable sticks. All of the major companies make cigars that don’t have their specific brand names on them, but by taking that Cohiba name and putting it on a less expensive smoke (that by the way probably has the same cost to make as those 5x the price) they don’t make quite the profit margin, but they get someone to smoke the brand and that creates the chance that they’ll reach for more expensive sticks of that brand. It’s a great marketing and sales strategy.

If I'm remembering correctly, #3 is not a bad smoke and has a pleasant room note Got several favorable comments on the smell. Criollo is under-rated.
Don't let the wife know what you spend on guns, ammo or cigars.

It's up now.

I don't believe I've heard of the EPC Essence Sumatra.
Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, two binders from Nicaragua and Honduras and long-filler from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
