Pulling the plug
Just going to do it. In 2 weeks I get paid from a brushoging job. Well, it should cover my fell to be honest. Getting a pipe and tobacco to get started.Still remember the aroma and sitting with my Great-grandfather as he smoked in the evening. Overloaded on information, but any last minute ideas from yo folks would be appreciated.

What did your GG smoke? Do you know? What did it smells like. I can send you a small starter selection of tobacco, if you'd like. What's your mailing address? (Pm it to me)

(Pm it to me)Thank you, very generous and appreciated . Remember 2 aromas and one was very woodsy if that is a description, the other had a sweeter aroma. Guess I am more concerned over a decision to start with a corn cob pipe. Hear good and bad, Don't mind investing more if needed or as I learn more.

Cobs are a great way to start. Find out if you like it before spending a ton of money on briars.

Cobbs are great! This would be my second suggestion.
A good cigar and the open road solve most problems.

Came in yesterday. Now after the last 30 years of my life telling kids to make sure you have everything you want on the paper before you hand it in, spent yesterday carrying around an empty pipe because I didn't put everything I want on the first order. What a Dip S*%@%! New order went in today. This is the pipe that @silvermouse has, figured if it is good enough for Edward, it is definitely good enough for me.

My offer still stands for a small sampler. Some aromatics, some non-aromatic and a couple English type blends. Why buy a bunch of different **** trying to find out what you like?
