Oom paul cleaning problem.

You can try an alcohol soaked pipe cleaner to try and break up the clog. Maybe one of the stiffer bristle pipe cleaners would help. A long shank brush with a rubber tip to protect from scratching up the inside of the draught hole could also help.

With a straight pipe, you could try a paperclip or guitar string to try and push out the clog but with an extreme bent pipe like the Oom Paul I think it would lead to scratching up the draught hole.

You might want to try a packing the bowl with salt or cotton balls, put a cleaner in the shank (remove the stem) and pour some alcohol in the bowl to help clean and loosen the plug. Be careful not to get any alcohol on the finish of the pipe, just inside. Put the pipe in a holder that will keep the alcohol from leaking out.

Sometimes taking the stem off and giving the pipe cleaner an upward bend before inserting it into the shank helps.

If so, it could be a “system” pipe. It might have a small chamber that is designed to help catch saliva. That could be what’s stopping your cleaner. You can probably see it after removing the stem and shining a small light down in it. If this is the case you’ll have to figure out how to bend the cleaner just right. I have a Preben Holm that I love smoking but hate cleaning for this very reason.

Maybe bend a curve in a wire and approach the plug from the bowl side
