I could get the the Autumn sampler going next if we would wanted to try that instead.

I'm ok with that if everyone else is. Seems a bit soon, though.

I'll pump the brakes for a bit but just say when and I'll order the Autumn Sampler. I cant order directly to Utah though that's why I recommended shipping to Hawks and going same order but I'm open to whatever really. I just want to make sure I'm pitching in my fair share too.

How would we feel about getting the next sampler started? I'll buy the English sampler and have it shipped to @Hawks and just pass in the same order? That way we got them arriving roughly a week after the aromatics.I'll pass on the English sampler and Autumn sampler passes.

Started on the pass with this C&D Dark Burley, which I'm not sure is considered "aromatic"? At any rate, I don't usually smoke much straight Burley due to tongue bite, but I liked this. Good tobacco flavor. Very strong, though. Even smoking slowly while I do bills etc. gave me a pretty strong nicotine kick.
All in all, I liked it well enough, but couldn't help from thinking that I would like it better with some Latakia and Cavendish mixed in, maybe a little cigar leaf to smooth it out.

The Dark Burley isn't aromatic, I just wanted to add something to the pass to bring it up to the eight samples they usually come in. I chose the Dark Burley because that's what I'm obsessed with lately, that's all.

Figured this would be a good follow-up to the Dark Burley. This is OK, but upon lighting I was immediately hit with the chemical taste that turns me off of aromatics. It's hard for me to describe, it's like there's a good tobacco, and some other flavor, and someone spilled some anti-freeze in it and thought what the heck, dry it and smoke it.I made it to about half way through the bowl, hoping that the offensive taste would fade away, but it didn't. There's something enjoyable here, or would be if there were some way to get rid of that chemical taste.

Oh, and sorry about the sideways pictures. If I turn them then I can't seem to upload them. Possibly a new forum feature?

Opening the baggie my first thought was of Yoshi's Chocolate Pie by KBV. Love that smell. This one is smoking well, and goes great with morning coffee."If you do not read the newspapers you're uninformed. If you do read the newspapers, you're misinformed." -- Mark Twain4 -

Pretty nice, aro-effect is subtle, very smooth. It's almost like a blend of the 2 I've tried posted above."If you do not read the newspapers you're uninformed. If you do read the newspapers, you're misinformed." -- Mark Twain3 -

This is good stuff, I'll be surprised if Lane 1-Q isn't the main ingredient. We'll see how wet it gets.

Another good companion to a morning cup of coffee. The name of this one says it all, it is "as advertised"."If you do not read the newspapers you're uninformed. If you do read the newspapers, you're misinformed." -- Mark Twain4 -

Another day, another aro. Smells great in the bag, very smooth to smoke. I always wish that these tobaccos tasted like they smell, but that smell usually gets lost. Sometimes, with some smokes, I can pick it up in the retro-hale. This one does that, somewhat. Not too bad."If you do not read the newspapers you're uninformed. If you do read the newspapers, you're misinformed." -- Mark Twain3 -

So, last of the pass. I saved this for last mostly because I expected to enjoy it the least, which turned out not to be so. Like the No Bite Delight, this one has that chemical aura, but not as bad. All in all I've enjoyed most of these pretty well, but from here out I think I'll be sticking with the Balkan, English, Virginia, and Orientals that I love.
There were a couple of the hitch hikers that I enjoyed as well. The Sillem's Black English stood out.
There are a couple others that I've loaded into pipes and will post when I get to them.Who's up next? I think @Yakster if I'm not mistaken? I'll get these sent off when I get the info.

It's my understanding that I'm up next as well.
