Hope you guys are as happy with your Nordings as I am with mine. I alternated smoking my two for about a week without smoking any other pipes. They're doing very well. The fit in my hand is awesome.
I have had some difficulties getting a pipe cleaner to pass through without removing the stem, so I've been finessing the stummel with the conical end of a nut-pick, and using a wire shank brush to smooth out the transition. It's working pretty well, about 50% of the time now. If it doesn't completely eliminate the problem I guess I'll invest in a shank reamer.
Like Shawn, I've been smoking some W.O Larsen, along with some Davidoff Danish in mine.

Steve, I’m sure you are aware, but on any big bendy type pipe, I bend the pipe cleaner down as I insert every couple inches. This usually allows the cleaner to make the transition from stem to stummel. Give it a try.

I wonder if that was the result of the oxblood soak that Yak mentioned in the other thread? Looks awesome.

Couple of bowls of Dark burley/buttered rum and now a bowl of rustica and ps41, layered like a parfait. Not very good. Up until now the rustica I've been smoking has been dry as straw and mostly flavorless. I refilled my pocketjar max with more rustica from the mason jar I've been keeping it in with a couple boveda. It has rehydrated a bit and tastes a little sour. My pipe keeps going from sour to sweet and nutty and back to sour. I think ill pull the bovedas and let it dry out again. Live and learn.
