Good morning Shawn, Todd and those to come.
The maduro is not my jam. I’ve been trying to find a maduro I like and I just don’t care for em.

Not all Maduro are created equally. There is US Broadleaf, Mexican San Andres, Nicaraguan ETC… Maduro(ing) is a process, (Sorry @ScotchnSmoke). Keep track of the leaf you do and do not like. That will help guide future purchases. The Charter Oak is a Connecticut Broadleaf that might just not be in your wheelhouse at the moment.

What did you think of the Tabernacle you recently smoked?
If it don’t bother me, it don’t bother me. Just leave me alone.

I've become partial to San Andres maduro. Nica Libre, Murcielago, Oliva V.
Broadleaf maduro, not so much.0 -

I actually liked this one better than the tabernacle maduro. The tabernacle I had yesterday though I freaking loved!

This is the funny thing about cigars. The Tabernacle you loved and the Charter Oak you didn’t are both Connecticut broadleaf maduro wrappers, grown by the same guy, blended by the same guy, and made in the same factory.
They’re completely different tasting cigars though. I don’t care for the charter oak either but really enjoy the tabernacle. The big differences in the two are that they have a different binder and what I’m guessing is not as long of a maturation process for the wrapper on the charter oak.
The more you dive into it, start making notes of combinations (wrapper, binder, filler, blender, factory, country of origin for tobacco) and you can more easily narrow down what you’re looking for when you go looking for something new to smoke.
Just don’t pass on cigars that have maduro wrappers. You’ll find they vary greatly and you’ll miss a lot of really good smokes. If it don’t bother me, it don’t bother me. Just leave me alone.

I didn’t think that the tabernacle was a maduro though? I thought the black and white label was but the red label was Havana? Maybe it’s Havana maduro and I just have no clue why I’m talking about haha all I know is I LOVED that stick it’s definitely in my top 5 at the moment, I just wish I woulda gotten a smaller gage.

My fault, I didn’t realize it was the ct142. It has a habano wrapper grown in Connecticut, not broadleaf, but it is maduro.
