That pops up on my screen, too. Got to be some kind of mistake.

I would sure hope so. There were two people on this morning with administrative roles. I emailed Lindsay and asked her to look into it.

Now if it were me…… we would get it. Understandable…… but Peter 🤔

That's insane! I'd sure appreciate an explanation from Cigars.com. I saw the weird avatar earlier and thought it a strange choice for Peter, but it never occurred to me that he was "banned". Outrageous. Surely someone just fat fingered the wrong button somewhere.

If cigars.com gets back to you, I would love to know what they said

Talked to Peter and they’re working on it. From what he gathers it was unintentionally done somehow.

I don't know what the heck happened, but some post about RYO cigarettes a bunch of you guys responded to and flagged for spam might've been the culprit. I had to mark many of you here as not being the spammer but reporting the spam, as the software got confused. @peter4jc is back in action and now has full use of the Forum again.
Hope everyone is well!

I'm back in on Android devices, like Chromebook and phone, but still can't sign in on my Windows desktop. Maybe my ancient brain can figure that out, but this is a refreshing step in the right direction.
Imagine my horror at not ever being able to sign it, and how deprived it would've left all of you, not able to enjoy my cheerful disposition

Peter! I thought we lost you forever.

Looks like this silly forum means more to me than I imagined. Yesterday, my brain/gut was in knots thinking I was on the outside looking in.

I'm thinking about switching to Linux before my tech skills atrophy to the point where I won't have the choice. I'm a bit worried about my roasting software.I think Linux has the capability of running some Windows programs, emphasis on 'some'. If I remember correctly a fellow cigar smoker on this list mentioned running Linux.
Then again, leaving Windows on as a dual-boot is an option.

I tried clearing my cache and cookies, went through the process of "forgot my password" and resetting it... still can't sign in on my desktop. Tried doing all that in an incognito window, still nothing. Maybe the next attempt will be to sign out of Windows and back in? I'm thankful that the ban has been lifted and my phone and Chromebook have access to Ccom and the forum, but I want to see the forum while I'm at my desk, too.

It's saying the login failed, that the password is invalid. I hit reset the password, they send me a link to reset it, I change the password, they send an email saying my password was changed and I should contact them if it wasn't me, I go to use the new password and they say it's invalid.

Well, I'm back in, all around, like it always was. When I got unbanned, their system let me into the forum, but my account was still closed. The reason I could still access the forum on my Chromebook but not my PC was that the browser tab stayed open, and once I logged out of the forum/Ccom, it wouldn't let me sign on again. After reading everything I could online, and trying everything that was suggested - flushing DNS, turning off antivirus, disabling all extensions, opening an incognito browser, etc - and wasting tons of time doing all that to no avail, I called Ccom again this morning.
A wonderfully helpful person named Amy tried getting into my account, and even she was unable to access it. She vowed to look into it and 10 minutes later called me back to say that when I was unbanned from the forum, nobody realized my account had to be unfrozen too. I'm happy. I'd be happier if the person I spoke with yesterday had discovered the same thing and saved me all the grief, but whatever.
Lesson of the day: don't get banned.
