Cigar Friendly

With all the state laws changing to ban public smoking it is becoming harder and harder to find a place to enjoy a nice smoke amongst fellow cigar smokers. Here is a site that was just passed on to me that proves to be a valuable tool for any avid cigar smoker. ~Happy Ashes to All~

Thanks! Here in NE Ohio, there's actually more than just Cousins. But Cousins is an awesome B&M. I asked the proprietor how many cigars he smoked a day and he said "1 every 2 hours I'm working." Assuming a 40 hour work week, that's 20 cigars a week. Dedication! There's also a good B&M in Summit Mall in Akron where I believe a number of people from the forum will be congregating in February.

You should add it to list! Up at the top of the page where it says "Add Spot". You have to register first, but we BOTL (and ahem... SOTL) have to stick together in these hard times =]RobRutkowski:Thanks! Here in NE Ohio, there's actually more than just Cousins. But Cousins is an awesome B&M. Phil, have you tried that Tiki Barber?... oops.... I mean Tiki Bar near you?0

Interesting site, but most of them are B&M's. Sorta like considering my house cigar friendly. I've said that the best places are Indian lands. Ironic because we destroyed Indian society and culture in the 19th century in order to "civilize" them. Now we need them to rediscover freedom. Ironic indeed.0

Yeah, unfortunately it's not the best researched or regulated site... Would probably be quite the labor though to do something like this effectively, unfortunately.Fourtotheflush:I find this site to be WAY out of date! About 2-3 years. CigarFriendly.us and CigarFriendly.com are not related in anyway.Fourtotheflush:as info the site is cigarfriendly.com not . us! Hope this helps.
CigarFriendly.com is managed by a single individual and the site has not been updated or maintained since Nov. 2006. Over half of the listings are out of date and many new ones are not listed at all.
CigarFriendly.us was launched in Dec. 2009 and is user managed. Some listings may have closed or stopped allow smoking, however they are generally caught quickly as there is an option to tag a listing as non-smoking.
At the time this post was originally made, I am guessing that the site had approximately 200 listings, there were a lot of holes and many states still had no listings.
Currently CigarFriendly.us is within 25 listings of 1000 (again, user managed and maintained). I suspect we'll be there before the end of the week.
