So as much as I dont like banks, fees, or anything of the sorts.......got to back them on this and say the gov't has no right telling them what they can charge for swiping your card......it just means they lose money there, so they will hike up other fee's..... If any of us cared about using a debit/credit card, we wouldnt pay the fee and just use cash......

    The Dodd-Frank bill is the reason banks have been looking around for revenue - one of the reasons is because they can't charge as much penalty fee's on delinquent borrowers anymore, they've eliminated free checking for everyone else who pays their bills on time, and made it harder to get credit. This is just one more example of the law of unintended consequences.
