Taking cigars to Mexico?

Is there an issue taking cigars into Mexico? I fly to cancun tomorrow for my honeymoon. It never even occurred to me to wonder before tonight if I'd run into issues with customs.

    I take sticks to cancun every year to the timeshare....never a problem

    What time of year? I go for two weeks every November.

    We go in march, in laws have a time share at the gran Mayan, it's halfway between cancun and playa del carmen

    Nice! We stay at the Royal Sands in Cancun one week, then go to the Royal Hacienda in Playa Del Carmen the following week. Beautiful place down there!

    I just went at the end of August...no issues taking them into Mexico and I even brought some goodies back with me with no problems : )
