Obsidian belicosso

Had my first Obsidian last night. I've heard good things and not so good things about them. Unlit, I detected a hint of chocolate and mint, rather intriguing it was. Pre-light draw was smooth with no hint of the chocolate-minty aroma. An easy light with no problems keeping it lit. Lots of spice in the first draw with enough thick, creamy, chewy smoke to fill a football stadium. Hints of wood, spice and leather throughout the stick. No bite or "rough edges" per se, just smooth tobacco flavor all the way to the nub. Not the best smoke I've ever had, but I'd put it in my Top 10.

My fav vitola is the perfecto... which is weird to me because I don't typically like the perfecto shape in most cigar that offer it...

Only had the belicosso so far. Really want to try the other sizes just to compare flavor. We all know how robusto's taste different than toro's and so on and so forth. These are most likely going to be a standard for me.

I've only had the mini corona so far and I love it. It is kind of a cold weather and/or quick smoke go to for me. The one and only jj20030 sent me a couple perfectos to try a while back but I still haven't sparked one yet - still looking forward to comparing to the larger vitola but will probably hold off until warmer weather.

Can't go wrong with these for the price IMO

There are a few sizes in the obsidian experiment box that I wish were available by the box regular production. Maybe in the future.

I had Andy put together a sampler of the 5 sizes they had in stock. I hope to try the actual sampler when it comes back into stock. I loved the couple of these I had, so I want to test drive some other vitolas.
