Wooden Ashtray

I posted a couple days ago about a wooden ashtray I made, and have had a few people request I put a picture up.
Well, here is the picture LOL

I did this more as an experiment than anything else... I personally would like it to be a bit bigger, but I used what I had on hand at the time.
Oh, and for anyone that is interested, the wood is Avocado which is sold as firewood in SoCal.

That's pretty cool, did you use any finish on it?0

Yes... it has about 5 coats of polyurethane... I wouldn't recommend mashing a cigarette into it, but catching a cigar ash it should hold up just fine.0 -
Ahh cool. Looks good. You should try a square one next if you got some time.0

Looks cool, bro! You and RBeckom should get together and talk some carving!0

I've tried carving before.... not my cup of tea.
I made this on my lathe, I do a lot of turning and this took me about 30 minutes to make minus the finish.0 -
That is very nice brother0

Robert, that is some exceptional woodworking right there and is gorgeous! If I was able to ship anything out I'd jump all overthat and trade with ya, but off shipping for a while right now. Lastly but certainly not least, I'd guess from your signature that you're a Navy man, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service and thank you for joining
