Any Friends of Laphoiag here? Walked into a bar I frequent this weekend in Madison and found myself trying all of Laphoiags offerings. Man did I love their quarter cask scotch. Met one of the higher ups from there too names Simon Brooking. Great guy.

    Great stuff especially for the money!! The 18 is a great example that good things don't always cost so much!! But if your not a peat fan it can be over powering

    Yup, it's the smokiest, peatiest scotch I've ever had, but smooooth. Not for the faint-hearted. I always have to smell it after uncorking. It has a nose accurately described as medicinal gauze! I think the quarter cask is my favorite.

    Met the west cost distributor at an event last month and got to taste a bottling you can only get any the factory and two other places in Scotland. It was wonderful.

    Not a peat fan, but damn that stuff is tasty. Pairs well with liga 9.
