I've seen boxes go for around a hundred bucks on the devil site; I don't know how soon you need them. If not everyone you're giving a cigat to is a seasoned smoker, I would probably avoid the JV line.jgibv:i hate you both dzr and jiunn.

John,
Here's a suggestion for you: Arturo Fuente Double Chateau Fuente. Great cigar for young and old. Plus, you have name recognition.0 -
Todds recommendation is good otherwise I would go with the AVO XO from your list above. The LFD might be too much for some of them. The XO is a great mild creamy cigar that I think would appeal to all varieties of smokers.Team O'Donnell FTW!
"I've got a great cigar collection - it's actually not a collection, because that would imply I wasn't going to smoke ever last one of 'em." - Ron White0 -
Todd, thank you for the recommendation.bandyt09:John,

I don't smoke AF very often so the brand hadn't even crossed my mind (plus, whenever I think Fuente I think high $$$ items).
This may just be what the doctor ordered.
Name recognition = big plus ..... and Fuente's construction & quality are always top notch.
This one looks like it'll be the winner, thank you.

They're great sticks. I have some Sun Grown Dbl Chateau from 2013 that I forgot about and sampled 1 about a week ago. Man, they have become very tasty and smooth. It's worth picking up a box just to put them away for about a year.

Take some Krylon Yellow and spray it in your mouth .... same sh*tjgibv:done & done.
went with the natural CT, was eying the sun-grown but figured natural would be safer bet for the "newbies" in the group
shout out to Andy D for the hook up!!!
and @dzr, no, i've never curly headed before bro"It's plume, bro. Nothing to worry about. Got any Opus?" The suppose to be DZR0 -

Crap, I'm a little late on this but I'll give my advice for anyone else in the future. LFD chisels are great since you don't need a cutter to smoke it. You're welcome.LLA - Lancero Lovers of America0

Warning: I know nothing about cigars besides a couple brand names that ppl have mentioned. I apologize for my ignorance in advance.
Anyway, the reason I'm posting is that I need 10 to 20 cigars for a bachelor party and none of the guys there know cigars at all. Best any of us has ever smoked (and we're just assuming they're alright because someone else told us so) is a romeo y julieta or a macanudo.
I'm looking to go inexpensive (but not terrible gas station ****,) so I need some recommendations (ie. I need someone to tell me exactly what to buy.)
Party is tomorrow so I don't have time to order online. I'll be going to a local smoke shop later on to look.
I appreciate any help.
(Sorry for bumping an oldish thread btw)0 -
Given the timeline my advice is to go to a reputable cigar shop, tell them you budget and your situation (all new cigar smokers) and ask what they have in stock that meets your needs.
We can all give you advice but ultimately you'll be restricted to what the store has on hand.-- "There's something that doesn't make sense. Let's go poke it with a stick."2 -
