Sad sad day

Came home from work and my mom who is visiting had something to tell me. I knew it wasn't going to be good as I could see the tears in her eyes. She had been doing some laundry for us and had to leave but didn't want to leave the dryer running so she stopped it and left the door open and then restarted it when she came home. When she went to empty the dryer she found my cat Baxter who had crawled in there when she was gone. She was the sweetest cat I had ever met and I miss her already. RIP Baxter.

Thanks guys. My mom is devastated but she said the hardest part was telling me. I've had Baxter since I was in high school and it's tough losing her. Up until Graham was born there wasn't a night that she didn't sleep on or near me and she had this thing for going to those who were allergic or not big fans of cats and laying on their lap. But she was so sweet and not one person pushed her off. I was looking forward to her and Graham becoming friends as she was already curling up on my lap every morning, laying at his feet on across them. Anytime I was having a bad day she would come lay on my lap and had a way of making me forget about everything else. Things like that are what I'm going to miss the most.
Thanks to everyone who has read all my ramblings. I'm hoping talking about it will help ease the pain.5 -
We have lots of cats, and while I put on a big show of them driving me crazy, I always hate losing one. Last year we had to take Rosco in and have him euthanized, he was 17, in obvious pain, and had developed a habit of peeing down the eye of the stove. Still, it was hard to do. Sorry for your loss.

That's bizarre! You'd think that kitty would howl loud enough to get noticed!
Holy crap. That's horrible. I think I'm about to shed a tear over this.
My sympathies.
